Cowboys rally to beat the Miners 23-21 in the Australia Bowl.

Wyoming takes the lead for the 1st time on Andy Cottingham's 34-yard FG in the 4th quarter. UTEP had jumped to a 21-7 lead with Luther Johnson's 96-yard return of the 2nd half KO and Rodney Forrest's 19-yard TD run on the next series.

However, the Cowboys rally, as Scott Runyan scores on a 4-yard run and then adds a 9-yard TD pass to Mitch Daun, but they fail on a 2-point try, to remain behind 21-20. Runyan also tossed a TD pass late in the 1st half to tie the game 7-7.
