Tigers slip by the #14 Bulldogs 31-28 in a wild contest.

David Treadwell atones for an earlier missed FG, by hitting a 46-yarder on the final play of the game, capping a contest filled with turnovers and big momentum changes. Georgia appeared on its way to a go-ahead TD when James Jackson fumbles inside the Clemson 10 in the 4th quarter, the 6th turnover by the Bulldogs.

Clemson keeps Georgia in the contest with 4 turnovers, including an INT immediately after a turnover by the Bulldogs, which set the Tigers up to take a 2-TD lead. The pick keeps the teams within a score of each other as they had been throughout.

Georgia gets the 1st score on a 2-yard TD run by Lars Tate in the 1st quarter before Clemson answers with a 2-yard TD run by Kenny Flowers. The pattern continues until Tracy Johnson scores the tying TD on a 1-yarder in the 2nd quarter and Rodney Williams scores on a 1-yard run in the 3rd quarter giving the Tigers their 1st lead. The lead doesn't last long as James Jackson hits Fred Lane with a 78-yard TD pass.

Terrence Flagler, Flowers and Williams combine for 214 yards rushing for the Tigers, while Jackson throws for 211 yards and rushes for 43 more for the Bulldogs.
