#1 Hurricanes put away the #20 Seminoles in the 4th quarter for a 41-23 win.

Trailing 23-21 entering the 4th quarter, Miami rallies as Vinny Testaverde hits Brian Blades with a 20-yard TD pass and then Testaverde scores on a 1-yard bootleg on 4th-and-goal. His 24-yard TD pass to Brett Perriman with 1:27 left puts the game away.

Testaverde throws for 315 yards and 3 TDs, and adds 2 TD runs. However, Florida State threatens to topple the Hurricanes, despite losing starting QB Danny McManus on an ill-fated fake FG attempt in the 1st half. The big boost for the Seminoles comes on a 90-yard kickoff return by Dexter Carter following a crossfield lateral from Keith Ross.
