Texas A&M gets a defensive TD and 4 FGs by Scott Slater to win in Houston for the 1st time since the 1950s. Slater hits 3 FGs in the 1st half and adds a 34-yarder in the 3rd quarter to open a 12-0 lead for the Aggies.

James Flowers picks Mark Davis in the 4th quarter and returns it 25 yards for a 19-0 lead. Kevin Murray hits 18-of-29 for 188 yards while becoming A&M's all-time completion leader. The Cougars don't get on the board until Gerald Landry's 12-yard TD pass to Jet Brown w/ 3:17 left in the game.
