Hurons rally, upset Spartans 30-27.

Despite being a 16-point underdog, Eastern Michigan prevails after answering a 2nd half comeback by San Jose State to win it on Ron Adams' 32-yard TD pass to Craig Ostrander w/ 3:59 to play. The Spartans had erased a 17-7 deficit and traded the lead with the Hurons in the 2nd half.

Mike Perez throws for 290 yards and a 12-yard TD pass to Johnny Johnson to give San Jose State a 21-17 lead in the 3rd quarter. Gary Patton rushes for 130 yards and gives Eastern Michigan a 23-21 lead with a 12-yard TD run on the 1st play of the 4th quarter. James Saxon's 16-yard TD run on the ensuing possession gives the lead back to the Spartans.
