Alabama delivers Jackie Sherrill a beating in his final game as Texas A&M coach. With the Aggies struggling to find offense, the Tide blows open a 13-10 game with 17 points in the final quarter.

Texas A&M pulls close on Robert Wilson's 1-yard TD run in the 3rd quarter. But the 4th quarter is Alabama's as David Smith hits Kevin Turner with an 8-yard TD pass and Phillip Doyle adds a 30-yard FG for a 23-10 lead. Murry Hill adds a 10-yard TD run to put the game away with 3:22 left.

Smith tosses 2 TD passes while Derrick Thomas stands out on defense with 4 sacks and a fumble recovery. Darren Lewis runs for 128 yards for the Aggies.
