Nebraska finishes strong with 17 points in the 4th quarter after Arizona State stayed close through the 1st half and 3rd quarter, trailing 30-16. In the end, the Cornhuskers' line and run game are too much, rolling up 441 yards rushing and having 3 top the 100-yard mark.

Ken Clark leads the way, running for 122 yards and a 31-yard TD run. Terry Rodgers comes off the bench to add 113 yards, 1 TD and 1-point conversion. Steve Taylor rushes for 116 yards and 1 TD, and hits Morgan Gregory for a 9-yard TD pass late in the 2nd quarter to open a 30-16 lead.
