Despite playing 2nd billing to Troy Aikman's visit to his future NFL home, the UCLA defense is the story, holding Arkansas to just 42 total yards of offense, with the Hogs only score coming after a turnover sets up a short field.

Aikman does his part with a solid effort, hitting 19-of-27 passes for 172 yards and 1 TD. Aikman guides the Bruins on a 19-play, 93-yard drive for their 1st score, on a 1-yard TD run by Mark Estwick in the 2nd quarter. UCLA follows it up with another long drive culminating it Aikman's 1-yard toss to Corwin Anthony on a rollout, for a 14-0 halftime lead.
