With a National Championship possibility off-the-table by kickoff, Miami goes about dismantling Nebraska, holding the Cornhuskers to just 2 1st downs in the 1st half, and just 135 total yards for the game.

The Hurricanes build a 20-0 lead by halftime, powered by 2 TD passes from Steve Walsh to Leonard Conley. Conley opens the scoring with a 22-yard TD reception in the 1st quarter, and then turns a short pass into a 42-yard TD pass and 17-0 lead in the 2nd quarter. Walsh finishes 21-of-44 for 277 yards.
