Game Notes

#2 Bruins nip the #16 Huskies 24-17.

UCLA wins it after stopping a late rally by Washington to preserve the win after the Bruins landed a big strike to grab the lead late. Tied 17-17, Troy Aikman connects with Reggie Moore for a 48-yard TD pass w/ 1:28 left.

Aikman was held in check for much of the game, hitting 16-of-26 for 175 yards, with many coming on the winning drive. A key scramble by Aikman for a 1st down sets up the winning score. Eric Ball rushes for 107 yards and 1 TD while Shawn Wills adds 57 yards on 8 carries and ties the game 17-17 with an 11-yard TD run early in the 4th quarter.
