West Virginia wins the battle of the running games against Pitt to capture the Backyard Brawl. Anthony Brown rushes for 110 yards and 1 TD, while Undra Johnson and Craig Taylor combine for 77 yards and 2 TDs. Meanwhile, the Panthers' Adam Walker is limited to just 39 yards on 17 carries.

Brown breaks loose for a 64-yard TD run in the 3rd quarter to open a 17-7 lead. After Pitt draws within 17-10, Johnson stretches the lead with a 20-yard TD run and then Taylor adds a 1-yard TD run.
