After 3 straight losses to LSU, Texas A&M puts the heat on the Tigers from the start as Larry Horton returns the opening kickoff 92 yards for a TD. Playing in 100-degree heat, A&M stays in control, going up 14-3 on the 1st of 2 TD runs by Robert Wilson.

The Tigers close to within 14-10 on the 1st of 2 TD passes by Tommy Hodson. However, Wilson, who rushes for 121 yards, scores on a 20-yard TD run w/ 2:58 to play, and then Kevin Smith picks off a Hodson pass and returns it 40 yards for a TD and 28-10 lead on the next play.
