#5 Wolverines hold off #21 Spartans for 10-7 win.

Michigan makes 2 defensive stands after long Michigan State drives in the 2nd half to preserve a 10-0 lead. The Spartans finally get on the board with a 4-yard TD pass from Dan Enos to Courtney Hawkins w/ 5:09 left. However, Michigan State's final drive sputters and fails.

The Wolverines had dominated the 1st half but managed only a 10-0 lead on a short TD run and a FG by J.D. Carlson. Tony Boles carries much of the Michigan attack with 104 yards rushing.
