Wolverines nip the Bruins 24-23.

J.D. Carlson hits a 24-yard FG, his 4th, with :01 left to lift Michigan over UCLA after trailing 23-15. The Wolverines pulled within 23-21 on Elvis Grbac's 3-yard TD pass to Derrick Walker with 1:35 to play. After the Bruins batted down Grbac's pass attempt for 2 points, Michigan recovered the onside kick and drove for the winning kick.

UCLA took a 14-3 lead in the 1st half. Michigan takes a 15-14 lead in the 3rd quarter before the Bruins regain the lead with a FG and Brett Johnson's 2nd TD pass.
