Beavers stun the Bruins 18-17.

Oregon State scores its 1st win over UCLA since 1978 when Alfred Velasco's 56-yard FG attempt falls short in the final minute. The Bruins had trailed throughout most of the game before finally taking a 17-10 lead on Kevin Williams' 2-yard TD run and a successful 2-point conversion midway through the 4th quarter.

However, the Beavers would not be denied, answering with a scoring drive, capped by Pat Chaffey's 2-yard TD run w/ 3:28, and then follow by going for the lead, converting a 2-point try on Matt Booher's completion to Reggie Pitchford. Chaffey rushes for 118 yards and 2 TDs to lead Oregon State.
