Trailing 17-7 at halftime, Arizona comes to life after Darryl Lewis' punt return to the Southern Cal 7. Two plays later, Reggie McGill scores on a 5-yard run. Ronald Veal, who took over at QB to start the 2nd half, scores on a 19-yard TD run on the next series to give the Wildcats a 21-17 lead.

Arizona's surge continues in the 4th quarter when Veal scores on a 1-yard run after a successive fumble-rooskie results in a big play. After the Trojans show some life and draw within 28-20, Veal scores his 3rd TD run of the half.
