Washington dominates from the start, ending Southern Cal's 20-game conference win streak. The Huskies defense makes life miserable for Todd Marinovich and the Trojans' offense, picking off Marinovich twice, hitting him many other times while keeping USC to negative yardage rushing deep into the 2nd half before finishing with 28 yards.

Greg Lewis caps Washington's opening drive with a 1-yard TD run, and finishes with 126 yards rushing and 3 catches for 99 yards. Mark Brunell throws for 197 yards and 1 TD.
