Shawn Jones scores on a 2-yard run w/ :14 left, and then Jimmy Lincoln runs in a 2-point conversion to lift Georgia Tech to the upset of Stanford. Willie Clay's 63-yard punt return to the Cardinal 31 sets up the winning score.

Stanford had built a 17-10 lead on the strength of Tommy Vardell's bruising running. Vardell rushes for 104 yards and 2 TDs, but misses much of the 4th quarter with a shoulder injury helping the Yellow Jackets prevent the Cardinal from running out the clock.
