Florida State weathers rain, Texas A&M's Wrecking Crew defense to win with the help of 8 turnovers. The Seminoles also commit 5 turnovers, allow a safety, but find enough offense together with a smothering defense.

The Aggies manage just 180 yards offense and lose their best scoring chance when Greg Hill fumbles at the 1 yard line en route to the 1st score of the game. One play later, Quentin Coryatt sacks Casey Weldon in the end zone for a safety.

However, Florida State answers with a 4-yard TD run by Casey Weldon late in the 1st quarter. Sean Jackson, filling in for ineligible Amp Lee, provides most of the offense rushing for 119 yards and catching 3 passes for 20 yards.
