#5 Gators stop the #3 Seminoles for 14-9 win.

Florida makes a late defensive stand to preserve its 1st win over Florida State in 5 years. After Lavon Brown picks Shane Matthews in the end zone to prevent the Gators from extending their 14-3 lead in the 4th quarter, the Seminoles rally with 2 drives scoring on the 1st, but the 2nd stalls when Casey Weldon's 4th down pass into the end zone from the 14 falls incomplete.

Matthews throws for 208 yards and 1 TD. His 72-yard TD hook up with Harrison Houston gives Florida a 14-3 lead in the 3rd quarter. Earlier, Errict Rhett put the Gators ahead 7-3 with a 3-yard TD run in the 2nd quarter.
