One play after Barker's 13-yard TD pass to Siran Stacy, Hagan hits Michael Westbrook for a 62-yard TD pass and a 19-16 lead. However, Barker leads the TIde back for a 13-yard TD pass to Kevin Lee that puts them ahead for good in the 3rd quarter. Siran Stacy rushes for 111 yards to help carry Alabama.
