The Bears strike first with a 59-yard TD pass from Pawlawski to Sean Dawkins, but Billy Joe Hobert answers with a 35-yard TD pass to Mario Bailey to tie the game. Washington holds a 17-10 lead until Lindsey Chapman breaks loose for a 68-yard TD run w/ :01 left in the 3rd quarter. Beno Bryant regains the Huskies' edge with a 65-yard TD run.

Jay Barry rushes for 143 yards and 1 TD while Bryant adds 99 yards. Pawlawski leads the Bears' effort with 215 yards passing, but also suffers 2 picks and 5 sacks.
