Elvis Grbac throws for 205 yards and 3 TDs in little more than a half as Michigan clinches a share of the Big 10 title. Grbac hits Derrick Alexander with a pair of long TDs, 35 and 57 yards, and a 2-yarder.

Tyrone Wheatley adds 143 yards and 1 TD rushing. After Northwestern shows a spark with Len Williams' 42-yard TD pass to Lee Gissendaner, Grbac responds with his 57-yard TD pass to Alexander to open a 21-7 lead in the 1st quarter.
