Backups pay off for Michigan State in beating Wisconsin. The Spartans overcome and injury to starting QB Jim Miller, with Mill Coleman moving from WR to QB mid-game and leading them to a clinching TD.

Craig Thomas overshadows Tico Duckett, rushing for 168 yards and TDs of 67 and 54 yards. Duckett adds 108 yards and a 24-yard TD run.

The Badgers had pulled within 19-10, but after missing a FG in the 4th quarter that could have pulled them within a TD, Coleman leads Michigan State on a win-clinching drive of 80 yards capped off by Duckett's TD run.
