Jeff Ballard rallies Mount Union to a pair of TDs after falling behind 24-21 in the 3rd quarter. Ballard throws for 4 TDs, his last, a 2-yarder to Jim Gresko, giving the Purple Raiders a 28-24 lead. Ballard then adds a 2-yard TD run. Ballard finishes 28-of-45 for 387 yards.

Mount Union took a 14-9 lead in the 1st half amid snow flurries and a wind chill of 0. However, Rowan answered in the 3rd quarter on a 4-yard TD run by Ed Hesson and an 8-yard TD pass from Hesson to Calvin Easley for a 24-21 lead.
