Miami steps up in the 2nd half to put away pesky Boston College. Despite repeatedly getting knocked down, Frank Costa manages to toss a pair of TDs to help the Hurricanes avoid the upset after a 1st half struggle leaves them trailing 7-3.

Miami forces Mark Harstell into 3 INTs and a fumble, using 2 of the turnovers to set up a pair of TDs. Costa hits Trent Jones for a 9-yard TD pass in the 3rd quarter to give the Canes a 12-7 lead, and then he finds Chris T. Jones for a 27-yard TD pass in the 4th quarter as they take a 20-7 edge.
