Alabama erases a 28-19 deficit in the 4th quarter, taking the lead on Michael Proctor's 32-yard FG w/ 1:12 to play after Jay Barker guides a last-minute drive. Barker goes 29-of-34 for 396 yards and 2 TDs, including a 49-yard TD pass to Toddrick Malone that pulls the Tide within 28-26 earlier in the 4th quarter.

Georgia had started fast behind Eric Zeier, who throws for 263 yards, becoming the SEC's all-time leading passer in the process, while tossing 4 TDs. The Bulldogs built a 21-7 lead in the 1st half as Zeier was near unstoppable.
