Amidst a backdrop of snow balls, Penn State sinks Michigan, sealing the win with a fake FG that results in a 2-yard TD run by holder Joe Nastasi w/ 2:40 left. The Wolverines had drawn within 20-17 on Tim Biakabutuka's 18-yard TD run w/ 7:12 remaining.

The Nittany Lions had wasted an earlier opportunity to take a 17-point lead when they fumble into the end zone early in the 4th quarter preceding the Michigan scoring drive. Stephen Pitts rushes for 168 yards to lead Penn State's attack on a turf surrounded by snow banks.
