Nebraska weathers an uneven performance and strong 1st half showing by Kansas' offense before putting away the Jayhawks in the 2nd half. Tommie Frazier throws for 1 TD and runs for 2 others to lead the Cornhuskers.

Nebraska grabs an early lead when Jon Vedral recovers a fumbled punt in the end zone for a TD. Frazier follows with a 1-yard sneak for a 14-3 halftime lead. The Jayhawks continue to move the ball, but bog down or commit turnovers.

The Cornhuskers break the game open in the 2nd half when Frazier hits Vershan Jackson for a 1-yard TD run and then adds a 5-yard TD run.
