Nebraska's defense dominates as it closes out the Big 8 Conference and books a trip to the Fiesta Bowl. The Cornhuskers return a pair of Oklahoma turnovers for TDs helping them open a 23-0 lead despite not scoring an offensive TD until the 4th quarter.

Jamal Williams returns an INT 36 yards for a TD and 10-0 lead in the 1st quarter and then Tony Veland returns a fumble 57 yards for a TD in the 3rd quarter. Tommie Frazier throws for 128 yards and 1 TD and runs for 35 yards.
