James Brown converts a 4th-down pass to Derek Lewis for a 61-yard completion in the final minutes to set up the clinching TD on Priest Holmes' 11-yard run. Brown throws for 353 yards and 1 TD after predicting a Texas upset of favored Nebraska.

Holmes rushes for 120 yards and 2 TDs, including a 61-yarder. The Cornhuskers answer each challenge by the upstart Horns, but Brown hooks up with Wane McGarrity for a 66-yard TD pass to give Texas the lead for good at 30-27 in the 4th quarter.
