Arizona State gets an early TD and 3 safeties to turn the tables on Nebraska, which had scored 63 1st half points in a 77-28 rout in Lincoln in 1995. Derrick Rodgers sacks Scott Frost in the end zone to put the exclaimation point on Arizona State's win, and help seal Nebraska's 1st shutout since 1973.

The Sun Devils set the tone early when Jake Plummer connects with Keith Poole for a 25-yard TD pass in the 1st quarter. Plummer throws for 292 yards. Arizona State's defense forces 3 turnovers, collects 3 safeties and holds Nebraska to 400 yards less than it gave up in the 1st half of the 1995 loss.
