The Bayou Bengals prevail over their Death Valley cousins 10-7.
Defense prevails, with the LSU special teams adding a final big play to preserve the win and earn its 10th win after Anthony McFarland blocks Matt Padgett's 52-yard FG try to tie with 1:26 left. Raymond Priester dents the LSU defense for 151 yards rushing, but Clemson is held off the scoreboard following Nealon Greene's 5-yard TD run late in the 1st quarter.
LSU answers on the following possession, tying it on Kevin Faulk's 3-yard TD run, and then takes the lead following a goalline stand by Clemson when Wade Ritchey hits a 22-yard FG late in the 2nd quarter.
