#13 Tigers escape with an 18-17 win over the Crimson Tide.

Auburn eludes the upset after A.J. Diaz's 57-yard FG attempt falls well short just 2 plays after Jarrett Holmes hits his 4th FG of the game with :15 left to give the Tigers the lead. Alabama appeared poised for the upset, leading 17-15 until Ed Scissum fumbles and Quinton Reese recovers at the Alabama 33 as the Tide is preparing to burn up the clock in the final minute.

Alabama rallied from an early 6-0 deficit as Freddie Kitchens takes over and helps the Tide to a 17-6 lead. However, Alabama sees fate turn against it in the 4th quarter as Cedric Hall drops a pass inside the Auburn 10, and the Tide then misses a 38-yard FG, and then a 3rd down spot leaves them short of a critical first down.
