Irish roll over the Panthers 45-21.

Notre Dame shakes off its slump and awakens its running game to dominate Pitt. Autry Denson rushes for 128 yards and 2 TDs, and Clement Stokes adds 109 yards as the Irish roll up 317 yards on the ground.

Trailing 17-0 early in the 3rd quarter, the Panthers show signs of life on offense, but Notre Dame immediately answers each score. Jamie Spencer follows a Pitt TD with a 22-yard TD run, and then Denson adds his 2nd TD run to answer another TD and give the Irish a 31-14 lead early in the 4th quarter.
