Trojans finish strong to beat the Rebels 35-21.

Southern Cal scores 21 straight points in the 4th quarter to rally and avoid the upset by big underdog UNLV, giving John Robinson his 100th victory at USC. The Rebels had struck for a 21-14 lead when John Denton scored on a 1-yard run early in the 4th quarter.

However the Trojans strike back quick with John Fox tossing the 1st of a pair of TDs just 2 plays later. After USC gets the ball back on its own 9, Fox delivers a 78-yard TD pass just 4 plays later. Fox finishes with 355 yards passing, out-dueling Denton, who finishes with 354 yards and 1 TD.
