Syracuse dominates the 2nd half to put away West Virginia. Donovan McNabb's TD pass just before halftime gives the Orangemen a 13-10 lead.

Syracuse starts to pull away after receiver Kevin Johnson hits Jim Turner with a TD pass to open a 19-10 lead. The Mountaineers threaten with an answer but Jason Poles picks off a Marc Bulger pass and returns it 96 yards for a TD and gives the Orangemen a 26-10 lead, a fumble on the ensuing series sets up a 14-yard TD pass from McNabb to Darryl Daniel.
