Florida answers Kentucky's big plays with big days. The Wildcats answered an early TD with a 100-yard kickoff return for a TD by Craig Yeast and then Yeast hauls in a Tim Couch for a 97-yard TD pass and 14-7 in the 1st quarter. Yeast finishes with 331 total yards, including 206 yards on 6 catches, adding a 74-yard TD reception in the 2nd half. Couch throws for 406 yards and 3 TDs.

However, Couch and Yeast are no match for the Gators. Doug Johnson and Jesse Palmer combine for 452 yards and 7 TDs, 5 by Johnson. Nafis Karim catches 6 passes for 147 yards with 3 TDs, all coming in the 2nd quarter helping Florida open a 35-14 lead.
