NW Missouri State beats Carson-Newman for the 2nd straight year to claim the title, having erased a 15-point deficit in the last 3:34 of regulation. The Eagles led 44-29 until Trent Miles throws a pair of TD passes and the Bearcats convert a 2-point conversion with 10 seconds left to force OT.

Miles hits J.R. Hill with a 13-yard TD pass in the 4th OT, but fail on the 2-point try. However, Carson-Newman fumbles on its possession.
