#8 Gators survive in the bayou with 3-10 win over the Tigers.

Torrential rains and muddy field conditions result in an ugly bounce back win for Florida, which has been upset by Alabama a week earlier. Despite leaving the ball on the ground 6 times, and turning it over 4 times, the Gators are able to turn back stagnant LSU, which gains just 165 yards on offense.

Florida makes a fast start before the weather turns ugly when Robert Gillespie scores on a 7-yard run following a 73-yard completion from Doug Johnson to Darrell Jackson on the game's 1st play. Bo Carroll answers an LSU FG with a 100-yard kickoff return and Johnson adds a 27-yard TD pass to Alex Willis for a 24-3 lead before halftime.
