UCLA lets a 20-7 lead slip away after losing starting QB Cory Paus. However, Drew Bennett rallies the Bruins past Fresno State with a pair of TD passes.

Bennett's 4-yard TD pass to Brad Melsby puts UCLA in front late in the 3rd quarter, and his 15-yard TD pass to Brian Poli-Dixon early in the 4th extends the lead to 35-21. Freddy Mitchell catches 9 passes for 149 yards for the Bruins.
