Georgia Tech overcomes blowing a 17-point lead in the 4th quarter with the help of one blown call and good fortune. Georgia's Jasper Sanks is ruled to have fumbled, despite replays showing him hitting the ground before fumbling, and Georgia Tech recovers at the 1-yard w/ :08 left to denying the Bulldogs a chip shot FG attempt for the win.

After Marvious Hester picks off Quincy Carter on the Bulldogs' possession in OT, the Jackets line up for a winning FG attempt on 3rd down, but the kick is blocked. However, George Godsey recovers it for Georgia Tech giving Luke Manget a 2nd chance. Manget nails his 2nd attempt from 38 yards to win it.

Joe Hamilton runs for 94 yards and throws for 341 yards and 4 TDs with Dez White catching 9 passes for 165 yards and 1 TD. Carter throws for 345 yards and 2 TDs and runs for another.
