Tennessee makes a blistering start, building a 28-7 halftime lead over Georgia. Tee Martin throws for 293 yards and 1 TD, and runs for 3 more TDs.

A bad punt snap results in a safety and extends the lead to 30-7 in the 3rd quarter before the Bulldogs stage a mini rally. However, after Jamie Henderson returns an INT 49 yards to cut the deficit to 30-20, Leonard Scott returns the ensuing kickoff 100 yards to restore control for the Volunteers.
