Minnesota dominates the 4th quarter to break open a tight game. The Gophers score the final 20 points after Indiana misses a FG that would have cut the lead to 1 in the 3rd quarter.

Jimmy Wyrick's 61-yard INT return early in the 4th quarter opens a 34-20 lead. Thomas Hamner rushes for 174 yards and Billy Cockerham rushes for 111 yards and 2 TDs and throws for another TD.
