Colorado gets 5 FGs from Jeremy Aldrich and a pair of TD passes from Mike Moschetti to avenge a loss to Kansas in 1998. Moschetti's 2nd TD pass gives the Buffaloes a 24-0 lead before he departs with an injury.

The Jayhawks stage a brief rally in the 2nd half, closing to with in 33-17. However, Colorado stops the rally, putting the game away on a 96-yard fumble return for TD by Ben Kelly.
