Navy wins the 100th meeting of the academies after winning just twice in the series during the '90s. Brian Madden leads the way for the Middies, rushing for 177 yards and 1 TD on 41 carries.

Madden caps the opening drive with a 2-yard TD run and Tim Shubzda adds 4 FGs helping Navy to open a 19-3 lead before Army scores late to challenge. Gino Marchetti leads the defense for the Middies, recovering a pair of fumbles.
