Panthers beat the Irish 37-27.

Pitt rides an emotional high in the final game at historic Pitt Stadium, beating Notre Dame for the 1st time since 1987. The Panthers get big plays from John Turman and receivers Latef Grim and Antonio Bryant. Grim and Bryant combine for 8 catches and 215 yards and 2 TDs.

Pitt's big plays help offset a massive day by the Irish's Bobby Brown, who finishes with 12 catches for 208 yards and 1 TD. Kevan Barlow rushes for 71 yards and 2 TDs, putting the game away with a 2-yard TD run w/ 1:41 left following Scott McCurley's interception.
