Oklahoma sprints to a 17-0 lead, but Texas rallies behind Major Applewhite and Hodges Mitchell. Applewhite bounces back from a turnover-filled performance in a lost to Kansas State, by throwing for 328 yards and 3 TDs after a slow start.

Mitchell rushes for 204 yards and a TD. Mitchell's 21-yard TD run gives the Longhorns a 24-17 lead in the 3rd quarter, and Applewhite stretches the lead to 31-20 with a 48-yard TD pass to Kwame Cavil.
