Mississippi State scores 10 points in the final 27 seconds to upend Ole Miss. The Bulldogs draw even on Wayne Madkin's 38-yard TD pass to C.J. Sirmones with :27 left. Following the ensuing kickoff, Eugene Clinton picks off a deflected pass and returns it to set up Scott Westerfield's 44-yard FG for the game winner w/ :03 left.

Madkin throws for 223 yards and 2 TDs, leading the Bulldogs to another nail-biting win. The Rebels had been poised to continue a string of road teams winning the Egg Bowl as Deuce McAllister rushes for 134 yards.
