Drew Brees throws for 283 yards and 2 TDs, and runs for 51 yards to lead Purdue past Minnesota. Brees is able to find the answer for the Boilermakers in answer to each challenge by the Gophers.

After Thomas Hamner's 60-yard TD run draws Minnesota within 26-21 in the 4th quarter, Brees hits Randall Lane with a 12-yard TD pass to restore the Boilermakers' control. Hamner rushes for 166 yards and 2 TDs for the Gophers.
